A major manufacturer
experienced reported quality issues with a satellite manufacturing location
and was facing an audit by the FAA – with the potential of severe
restrictions and sanctions. Our team of quality consultants worked with the
manufacturer’s quality staff and updated current procedures, wrote new
procedures and made recommendations which allowed the company to pass the
FAA audit without major findings.
A stamping and metal cutting
manufacturer had a major contract from a turbine engine manufacturer. They
were familiar with fabrication of aluminum and stainless steel parts, but
had no experience with fabrication of Titanium parts. Our staff of
experienced manufacturing engineers worked with this manufacturer and made
recommendations for new cleaning and fabrication techniques which allowed
the manufacturer to open a new titanium manufacturing plant thereby
increasing their sales and earnings.
A major fabricator of large
compressor and turbine cases had a problem achieving manufacturing costs
promised to their customer as part of a revenue sharing arrangement. Our
team of ‘should-cost’ and process engineers worked with the fabricator
offering numerous process changes and suggestions that enabled the
fabricator to meet the target unit cost and delivery goals.
A European designer and
manufacturer of aircraft wished to develop a new sourcing process – to have
sub-contractors provide more finished sub-assemblies and fewer fabrication
steps at the OEM. Our team of procurement consultants worked with the OEM
and provided valuable insight concerning potential sub-contractors and
suppliers that would meet the needs of the OEM.
A USA manufacturer of
healthcare products faced the need for a large number of audits of suppliers
on several continents while not having internal resources to meet this
need. These audits were a result of new regulations from the FDA. Our team
of certified quality consultants completed calibration audits for the
manufacturer in Europe and Asia, solving their near term needs outside the
USA.
